Welcome to Second Grade Music!
Second Grade Music Class includes many components including singing, puppets, playing instruments, reading basic music notation (literacy), and moving! Students will demonstrate awareness of pitch and beat, as well as be able to explore space and sound, and contribute to the creation of music and creative movement.
Meet Ralph and Rudolph! Occasionally throughout the year, these two brothers will make an appearance in Music class. The students ask them questions, and the dogs answer. However, they only sing, and the only way to get them to answer a question is by singing a question to them!
Throughout the year in Music class, Mrs. Chernich brings her "Surprise Bag" with her! Inside the bag could be a puppet friend or special instrument! Ask your child what was in the Surprise Bag!
